Copying itunes library from old windows laptop to ipad problem

When I connect my iPad 2 to my old laptop it only recognises it as a camera

I just want to get my old iTunes library.....is it possible

Do you still have iTunes installed on your old laptop? If not download the latest version of iTunes and your laptop should recognize the iPad.
