I am trying to connect my iPad 1 to my TV using the Apple AV cable. Having connected to the docking port and the 3 jack plugs on the TV I can only get 2 apps to work (BBC iplayer and u tube). ITV player, 4OD and I pod won't work. Can anybody help please? This is my first go on a forum so I would very grateful for any help.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I'm not too sure on these subjects but I feel a HDMI cable works best for this and when you look at the price of some of these cables an Apple TV sure looks appealing. I'm sure someone else who does know more will be along soon.
