Cant write past 6 lines in iPF app

When creating a thread on the iPad forum app, I can only sees up to 6 lines of text, anything that extends beyond that is typing, but I am unable to see it. This problem persists in both landscape and portrait mode.

Here is a screenshot to show the issue, you can see I have written out a thread, and below the "the" on the last line, you can see the blue portion of the cursor. My text continues to the cursor, but you can't see it for some reason.

When quoting someone else's post or editing my own, there is no problem though. I'm curious if there is going to be a fix for this, so I can stop posting my thread with only 6 lines, and editing it to finish my opening post.

I have never had a problem like that yet, but I hate it when the curser moves to the front of the sentence and you can't move it back. In fact it happened twice while typing this out.

Really? Can you test it out for me real quick to see if its on my end or the app? Go to any forum and create a new thread, and just type something in every line, one letter will do. (But remember to cancel it instead of posting it :P)

And I've had that happen too! It's frustrating.

Have you tried to close our your apps and also restart your iPad? If those do not work a reset may also help by pressing the power and home button.

It's a known bug. I can't seem to recall the workaround right now...I think you just rotate the screen from one orientation to the other and back again, for fix it. But like I said, I can't really remember.

Isn't that only when yon view the profile page? I am able to view normally in both landscape and portrait for replying.

Look at the two images:

I have this:

...however, it is cut off as yours show. I noticed you can scroll the page up to see the rest.

This is what the op is referring to (new post, not a reply):

I think one occurs on new posts and the other occurs on replies...probably the same or similar bug manifest in slightly different ways & instances. Rotation doesn't seem to help with the OPs problem, though.

Thankfully, I don't see that with private messaging on the app.

The OP is quite right, a reply is not affected, a reply with a quote either, but a new thread is......

The last one goes to line 8 but you can't see it. I couldn't scroll either. Must be a similar bug as the Profile bug.

Thanks, Roy--I use the website and tapatalk for most forum use and the IPF for private messaging and uploading pics. So maybe I have never gone beyond the "bug" max to see it show up when starting a new thread.
