Cannot read chinese characters!

Hi Everyone.

I need some help regarding my Ipad 3. My Ipad cannot read/show chinese characters if the characters are written in Microsoft Word file. However, it can read/show chinese characters if the it is written on other files such as Microsoft power point.
Anyone have any idea why it is so? And what should I do to make it read the characters in MS Word files?
