Is there a way to take frequently visited sites, bookmarked, and make them into an app so there is a shortcut on the app page, thereby avoiding going through safari again?

You can add links to websites to your home screen by pressing the bookmark button in Safari.

Since this thread is over 3 years old the members who participated here have moved on.

Exactly what do you mean? Not sure what you are asking. The above info is not an app, but a function feature on your iPad. However, it is different now in the way you bookmark a website because of the iOS to 7.04.
