What's new

blue tooth

i guess it depends on what type of non apple product you are trying to connect?

keyboards, headphones....yes can be connected to ipad.

can you connect non apple product to the ipad via bluetooth thanx in advance

Yes - there's no problem but, as the previous poster suggested, the iPad has a rather limited Bluetooth connectivity 'profile' set - meaning it can only be connected to relatively few different device 'classes'.

So Bluetooth keyboards are OK - I'm typing on a non-Apple one now.
Stereo headsets are OK but not those Bluetooth earpieces that some people use with their mobile 'phones.
Bluetooth printers don't work.

If you have a jail broken iPad then other devices can be made to work too.

Do you know of any Bluetooth speakers that work? Or any that should be avoided?
I'd liked to listen to Pandora, and such, while "puttering" around the house. I'm not looking to break the bank, or blow the walls down, just background music.
