Big Business - game discussion

Superstar achievement done and dusted! Thanks to all those who contributed. Special thanks to Gab for a more than fair share of those gifts .

BTw I got a response from GI for the misleading 25 % discount ad for land purchase. According to Natalia, that's the nature of the game

'The matter is that according to the sale conditions the discount was provided only when the land was purchased for City-Credits. That's the nature of the game. We are going to go ahead and mark your request as solved'.

Ive responded by saying that please do not be in such a hurry to close the ticket. When I get a satisfactory answer as to why I ended up paying 25% extra when the offer clearly stated coins and credits, we shall consider the matter resolved. They are misleading the players and while have right to be stingy towards these awards, making the players spend more
this way is not acceptable,'

I'm a housewife so have a lotta time to write emails and I will keep on opening the new ticket and nag them. i nagged
them for 6 weeks about my lost credits and rubies, and got them back.:)
What they can do is block me, i will def miss t for a few days but will
move on.

Btw for the last few days one player was blocked'because of complaints from other players' but today his city is accessible :))

Cheers

S

I had a player blocked for same reason, but was back a day later.

I usually get mine long before this. I try to figure out what I need the night before and have stuff ready for them, but didn't get any this morning.
Congrats on the contest, I just made it to the list. I am storing up the items for those contests. Bananas are the hardest for me so I will keep a supply on hand.
Wonder what they will give us for the 2 hr contests on the 24th.

Yeah now my terminal is raining mangos, go figure. I think the contest game is to store up on supplies in advance. So you need to pick your speciality and stock up and lay in wait for your turn. Obviously you can't sock up on cocos, mangos and bananas All at the same time. if you try them all, you might not win any.

So true.. I will pick one and go with it. I think bananas would be easiest to go with...just need milk to make the milkshakes.

yes I've done what I thought I was never going to do - I've finished ET :-)

What am I going to do know ? I know, stock up on bananas and coconuts, better increase by warehouse!

That was my thinking the last go around, because bananas require the hour trips, they are that much harder to come by. I just need to know what to do with my avos

Aloha,
Anyone know why they are having the 2 hour contests tomorrow- a Wednesday (not a holiday that I am aware.) It is not May Day, nor is it a weekend. Am I missing something? I guess I should stock up on some things. Meat, fish, etc. will be impossible to generate in 2 hours. I think that the last time I recall these 2 hour contests was at Christmas time, am I accurate?

How about this for a short daily achievement: 10 sushi rolls in 3 hours. Sounds reasonable if you think 10 minutes each= 100 minutes in 180. Then I realized that even with the 4 fish in the WH, I still had to make 8 more rolls worth of fish and 10 for rice. 9 farms for 20 rice was impossible, even if I built and upgraded another farm- too much time when you consider that I would have some rice finishing when the contest was ending. Then I thought about 16 more fish for my 7 ranches at 2 hours each. Again, even if I built and upgraded another ranch..... impossible with the time to upgrade.

I love a good challenge, but this was a bit much. Anyone else get a crazy looking challenge like this?

I have gotten them in the past. I never do those ones as they are impossible to complete.

Just went on a crazy electricity craze by adding 8 new wind farms and fully upgrading all of them. It increased my electricity from 2955 to 5089. Yup, I think I'll be good for awhile :-)

For some reason my BB is telling me I haven't got Internet connection, so I've no idea what the 2 hourly contest is right now. Hope other people are having more luck than me!

Unbelievable. In 2 hours, someone won top prize with 274 packaging. That just cannot be possible!

You beat me with that comment. Keeping in mind that you do not even get 2 hours, due to the glitch of keeping the previous production there for a while.

The fruit, it took a mere 16 to win and (as far as I remember: 6 or 8) to come 3rd. I had great hopes with my 22 packagings!
