Big Business - game discussion

Hey Kel,
Since I have been playing, I have never seen a cocoflakes contest. I have no idea how much is needed, but I think that it will be about the same as mango based fruitcake (24). I really like the apple pie of the bakery, which does not use any milk trucks and only takes 15 mins, 2 oranges and 2 flour. I have 3 farms dedicated to non-stop production. It is a huge money maker and is the cheapest of the purchases for cash. I waited until it went on sale and then bought it. (Everyone likes the tortilla factory, but it is a matter of how much you want to spend and if you have the trucks to support your purchase.)

There was one when I first started playing, I just can't remember how many we're produced in terms of minimum amount to place. I have 11 at present and coconuts are coming in quite quick.

I think I will just stick to my cottage cheese at the moment until I can afford other buildings. Just got my third dairy and just upgrading to the 2nd level now. That will keep me producing a profit for now.

There definitely has been a coco flakes before, I think I may have placed in it. I'm guaranteed 30 today and hopefully when I get home I can churn out some more. Forgot to charge the iPad over night so I couldn't take it into work with me :(.

Im guessing about 20 should probably be enough to place but I'd aim for higher if possible.

As for milk trucks I have 15 or so, so that I can have 3 dough, 3 cc, 3 milk and a waffle on the go at the same time. My aim is to get another dairy and my 4th confections plant going on these so I can produce dough pretty constantly for other products. Then when the factories are on special again ill consider getting a torita factory

Well done Gab. Now to build your population back up.

I've decided I want another Diary. I'm finding the quarry is slow going, I can't start the granite until I have pumps! So ET task is on hold at present but I could potentially make a small fortune on the diary and Cottage Cheese.

I have quite a few factories available to buy but looking thru the items etc nothing massive available in profit terms. I like the idea of the waffle factory but that's credits. What is required for waffles does anyone know?

I've been busy upgrading all electricity stuff and my garage and admin buildings.. Although it doesn't seem like it but I have done loads on the game... Just not many achievements happening at the moment. I hate slow moments...

I love my bakery...apple pie..2 fruit/2flour produces 15 min.. Over 3000 coins ( not sure of exact amount as it is running ATM) but it is the best for credits in my opinion.

And don't forget that you need croissants for "In Case of War"

Bakery was needed (option) to make treats for turkeys last Thanksgiving. There is a chance it will be needed again.

Congrats to all completing Leave Me Alone. Now I think perhaps I should go for it too. However, I have some reservations. First, I have population of 224000. It will take some time, to put it mildly, to kick them all out. Second, in case of another event requiring massive production I will not be able to use any of my 22 industrial buildings I keep in storage. I have a premonition that the next event will take place on May 1 unless GI is going to ignore their own National Holiday.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I got my 666 achievement several months ago, btw.

It really depends on if you want 100% achievements. If you do, the sooner you start the less population you will have to get rid of. The longer you wait the worse it will be and there will always be the threat/promise of another event just around the corner. I don't think I own 22 industrial buildings in total, and so far have managed to complete all events. It is a nasty achievement and takes forever, I nearly gave up several times and have no where near the population you do. It all comes down to if you are the type of person who has to complete to the best of their ability, which I am one. Leaving one achievement would have kept me awake at night so had to be done. Lol

That sounds pretty soul destroying to me. I was only on 10,000 population when I decided to complete Leave Me Alone and it still annoyed me. I suppose it depends how OCD you are about completing every single achievement - you don't get a good reward for completing it. However, it's better to do it now than when you're at 400,000 population.

Thank you, ladies. No, I am not OC and most probably I will never get to 100%. I did not get a few achievements last holiday season, I am not dreaming of becoming a Top player and there is little hope we will ever figure out Home Sweet Home. So...

Not worth the effort?

Sorry to belabor the cheese vs. CC debate, but I think both items are useful. Both cheese and packaging take 15 min. to complete, so if you're starting out with no packaging in your warehouse, go ahead and use your extra milk trucks to make cheese.

I tend to think in terms of two production modes (sure this is nothing new), short-term (30-min or less) and long-term (2 hours or more). Good short-term items have no raw ingredients that take more than 15 min. to produce. (Muffins, Coconut Flakes, Fruitcake, Cheese/Cottage Cheese, Belts, Chairs). These are great for when you have 30 min. or more to actively play. Good long-term items have the highest profit margins. (Pet Food, Candy, Chocolate Milk, Books). These are great for when you are going to be away for awhile.

Oh my what will you do for your commute.

Does anyone know if someone make a portable power supply for iPad. Like for going on long trips (air) where wall outlets not available?

Oh yea of little faith. I didn't think I would get marble businessman. Someone will stumble across the answers eventually. Also the special achievements do not count towards the 100%, only the general!
