Beats By Dre has officially announced via Twitter that BeatsX earphones will be available to buy from this Friday, February 10, according to MacRumors. This follows on from yesterday’s reports of BeatsX earphones appearing in stock lists in some Apple retail and Best Buy stores.
Elsewhere, CNET has reported that aside from the already announced white and black colour options, the earphones will also be available in gray and blue versions. However, don’t expect to treat your ears to these new colours at launch, as for now it will be only the white and black versions available, with the new colours simply said to be “coming soon.”
CNET says that it has been lucky enough to have some hands-on quality time with the BeatsX earphones, noting that they are a “slightly cheaper, better alternative to Apple’s AirPods” that “sound better, with substantially more bass response.”
The $150/ÂŁ130 earphones were designed by Beats by Dre (which is owned by Apple) in collaboration with Apple engineers.
