Attempting to take a screen shot...but it is turning off

Hi everybody,

For some reason when I press the home and power switch to take a screen shot on my ipad2--rather than take a picture, it shows the lock slide to power off. Am I missing something?

Problem resolved...I was pressing to long. I didn't realize it was a quick push of both buttons together. Thanks everybody!

You just press them both together momentarily and the screen should flash as if a picture was taken. Don't hold them down too long...

Seriously? You can't get it from reading the posts above?

Press the "power" and "home" buttons together for a moment. The screenshot will be saved in your Photos app.
