Architecture - buildings that is

Yes, there is a large store at 235 Regent St., which is about 100 yards south of Oxford Circus.

Then the John Lewis Dept store has a great Apple section alongside TVs radios and cameras. A superb toy dept. ;)

There is also an Apple section in Selfridges in Oxford St and another Apple Store at Covent Garden......some serious Apple shopping available in that part of the world!

They seem to be falling further behind schedule, Scifan.

Is there a new estimated completion date?

The oldest Elementary school in Regina, built in 1912. I entered Kindergarten there in 1962.

That was an auspicious year, Scifan. ;)
Did they celebrate their centenary?

Yes they did. This year, however, they announced plans to possibly tear the building down and replace it with a modern school. It seems as though it doesn't fit the modern fashion for new everything in schools.

Surely they could find another use for the building and build the new school nearby? Sigh! People just don't think of the future and generations to come.

Can the heritage dept intervene?

Yes, you are right there Hayles. Cities should take a pride in their history.

So sad for your heritage then. Sorry to hear this. Modern and old architecture can live together.
