apple version of microsoft word?

does apple have a program or app that u can start new documents and save them then print them? and how would i get them to print if im using print central...i have a hp printer on my wireless home network but when i search for printer it finds non, so how does it find my network via wifi but not my printer? thats why i had to use print central

Pages is the word processor that's closest to microsoft word.

Not sure about how to connect to a printer!
