App Store Redeem odd behavior

[FunOldGuy]

Today when I tried to redeem an app code from Starbucks things got strange. When I click the "redeem" button a list of music genres opens with no place to enter the code. This is an iPad mini running current OS. Anyone seen this? Suggestions? Cheers!
