Animal Crossing Pocket Camp announced for iOS.JPG

Great news from Nintendo today, with 9to5 Mac reporting that the company has announced that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be coming to iOS next month as a free-to-play game where you get to run your own campsite and personalise it in typically cute Animal Crossing style. Here’s how Nintendo describes the game:
“Get back to nature in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, the new Animal Crossing mobile game where you take on the role of campsite manager!

“You’re in charge, so you can decorate your own campsite however you like! Make it fun, make it cute, make it sporty-it’s up to you to craft the kind of furniture and amenities that will make your camp a must-see for animals visiting the area.”

Players progress through the game by travelling to different empty campsites where they help to run them and decorate them by crafting furniture, amenities, and other items. You also get to visit nearby recreation areas to go fishing, gather fruit, and collect bugs, just as you do in previous Animal Crossing games.

As ever in the franchise, meeting animals and making new friends is a very big part of the adventure, and you get to earn rewards by helping your friends find items that they’re looking for.

Once you’ve sufficiently decorated your campsite you’ll find that it will become incredibly popular with all the Animal Crossing inhabitants, and you’ll eventually be able to craft big amenities such as a merry-go-round or a half-pipe.

Your trusty camper van is how you get to travel around, and you can even customise that as well.

Seasonal events will also be a big part of the game, just as in previous versions, so be sure to check the Notices to find out about them.

Any Animal Crossing fan will be excited just from seeing the newly released video trailer, as it certainly looks like it has captured all the humour and sweet charm of the console and hand-held versions of the game. This could well be the next Pokémon-Go-style smash hit for iOS.
