All of a sudden I can't delete apps!?

I'm hoping that someone can help. All of a sudden I am unable to delete ANY apps through the "wiggle" method. When I hold an app down I get the wiggle but no X in the corner. What gives?

In iTunes

tag the app, right click, delete.

Yes I know I can do this but why can I not do it directly on my device? I used to be able to...

And yes, I have powered off & tried again to no avail...

Goto settings-General-restrictions and make sure the deleting of apps is enabled.

You said in another thread that you restricted a number of things to save battery power. Maybe something was turned off that shouldn't have been?
