Since upgrading from 4.2 to 4.3 my iPad has developed a new trick - on a couple of occasions after sliding to turn off it appears to turn off but then springs back to life again.!

An interesting observation. You don't have any Bluetooth peripherals, by any chance? Early on in my 'iPad life' (did life exist before then?) I noticed that, even when switched into 'sleep', activating my Bluetooth keyboard (it automatically goes to sleep after no key presses for a while, you 're-activate' it by simply pressing a key) would bring the iPad back to life **right to the Home page** - no need to activate the normal 'slider'. An easy way to accidentally discharge your battery if you have 'Autolock' set to 'Never'....must remember to change that.....

No Bluetooth devices attached. WiFi & 3G both on but that's how it's always been used. I thought at 1st I was just being careless with the slide control but that wasn't the case.
I'll keep an eye on it & see how it develops ?
