3G auto renew

Hi all,
I signed up for one month of 3G service with AT&T then I heard that it is auto renew. How do I cancel if I don't want to renew this month?

You must call ATT on the phone and cancle about 2 days before it autorenews.

Because they want you to forget and charge you for another month.

That conflicts with the 3G information on Apple's site which says

You can sign up, check your data usage, manage your account, or cancel your service — all from your iPad.

yeah well 3g service is ATTs department.


they also said they would offer unlimited data plans and then pulled the plug on that.

Go to SETTINGS > CELLULAR DATA > VIEW ACCOUNT and you can cancel through the iPad. There are two options, 'Cancel Auto Renew Only' (account will be dropped in two months) or 'Cancel Auto Renew and Account'. Remaining MB will run out the clock.

After using mine for several months I decided I do 99% of my actions via wifi so canceled the auto renew and only use it if I find myself out of wifi for a week or so.
