We’re less than one week away from Apple’s big event on October 22, but some case makers already seem to know the exact dimensions of the upcoming iPad 5. And we’re not talking here about some shady, unknown companies but about ZAGG, which is a popular accessory maker especially among Apple users.

ZAGG has published online a listing of an iPad 5-compatible keyboard case that seems to confirm that the iPad 5 will be thinner and lighter. The webpage has already been pulled down but 9to5Mac has managed to obtain the image with the posting which you can see in the above screenshot. The backlit iPad 5 keyboard cases, if they are real, will be available in black and white and will accommodate iPad 5’s thinner bezel. When the online listing was still active, it was saying the following:

”While this case does not provide any breakthrough details about Apple’s new iPad, it does demonstrate that case makers expect that the iPad 5 will look just like the several leaks over the course of last many months.”

The “leaked” case is called “ZAGGKeys Folio” but f you go now on ZAGG’s website and you search for an iPad 5 case, you’ll get the following result - “invisibleSHIELD for the Apple iPad 5 (5th Gen)” but without a product listing.

What’s funny is that both black and white leaked Folio cases have a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 obtained after 255 reviews. Obviously, there’s no way that real customers could’ve reviewed these cases since they don’t have yet the iPad 5. This makes us wonder - was this just a clever way to get some free publicity?
