"You have new mail" sound

On my desktop I have a custom sound for incoming emails of, "You have new mail." How do I go about doing that on my iPad please?

You can choose the sound in Settings - Sounds - New Mail.

There are many apps on the AppStore for making custom sounds. Or, you can do a search for that phrase, download it into iTunes (make sure you have the .m4r extension for compatibility) and then transfer to your iPad.
