why i can't upgrade my ipad2 3g to iOS5

i got this notification from support@SwirlySpace... "Hello. The current versions of SwirlyMMS (2.4.5), SwirlyMessage, SwirlySMS and SwirlySMS free (1.1.5) do not work on iOS 5. Working updates will come."

text messaging is a very important functionality for me. i'll have to wait until it works.

can it be jailbroken? i don't think all my tweaks are present in the new iOS.

There is currently no JB for the iPad2 on iOS5. Most Developers are currently working to update their apps for the new OS.
