Another day, another “iPad killer†announced by a hopeful company. Today it’s ViewSonic’s turn, with its ViewPad 7. reports that the ViewPad 7 has a 7in LCD capacitive multi-touch screen, and comes with Android 2.2 Froyo and multi-tasking features.

The ViewPad 7 takes a normal-sized SIM, and supports text and picture messaging, VoIP and regular voice calls, and instant messaging. The tablet comes with 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth right out of the box, and also features assisted GPS, a document reader and e-book reader, and a USB port, which is something the iPad doesn’t have, of course. Another feature the ViewPad 7 has that the iPad doesn’t is a front-mounted VGA camera and a 3-megapixel camera on the back.

ViewSonic will be showing the ViewPad 7at IFA 2010 in Berlin this week, and V3 says the tablet is rumoured to be ready to launch in time for Christmas, at a competitive retail price of £350. So should Apple be worried?
