Ughhhhh I need Serious help with something!!!

    Ok so I went to the App Store on my iPad to purchase a free app. Like usual it asked me for my password and I entered it. The App Store closed automaticly, as usual, but then something strange happened. A pop up appeared saying
    Error Unknown. What!?!? I made sure that my password was correct, I was logged in, ect. It makes no sence to me right now. I have tried to look on Apple Support but I've had no luck there. So please help me! I'm dying here!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi there-sorry for this happening to you. Not sure if yo have done any of the immediate fixes.

    Have you tried to do the following?

    Do the first 2 steps first. Save step 3 as a last resort.

    1. Force the app to close?
    2. Try to restart your iPad?
    3. Try to do a soft reset?

    You can try this in order, if an app becomes funky.

    Force the app to quit by pushing the home button twice to bring up your multi-task bar. This will show all the apps that you have visited. By long pressing the app in question, it will begin to jiggle-press the red circle with the negative sign on the app. It will only quit the app and not delete. Than try to re-open the app and test out.

    If that doesn't work, restart the iPad by pressing the power switch down to power off.

    Third is to do a soft reset by holding the power switch and home button together until you see the apple logo. Hope that helps!

    Can you sign into your iTunes account from a PC?

    skimoney, the app won't even download. I have tried to restart my iPad but that didn't work.

    Midranger4, I haven't tried yet but I can download apps fine on my iPhone with no problem under the same account..

    Skimonkey, I just tired the soft reset but it fixed nothing. Also thank you both for replying

    This is an app, not a podcast?

    Ok, so quitting the AppStore didn't work, not did the restart. Try to do a reset by pressing the power switch and home button. If

    If that doesn't work i would try to connect to iTunes via you PC and see if you can install it that way.

    Yes well it's my iPad. Maybe if I say that when I try to download an app, it doesn't download but just says Error unknown. And doesn't let the app even load. I will try to post a picture of what it looks like soon.
