Ahhhh....... yet another example of the desperate individuals who take things that don't belong to them. My 1st generation Ipad was stolen... it does have a password, but i know it can be easily reset. I am in trouble? Anyone?

Well your data is safe because there's no way past your password, but it can simply be set up as a new device, in which case the thief has his own iPad, and there's nothing you can do about it.

So they would have to reset it to factory standards and therefore my app store account and any apps will be wiped clean fr the device? Thanks for the info

Exactly. This is why I always tell people to use a lock code, it only take a few seconds for the owner to open the device, yet it protects your data from everyone else.

If you have 'find my iPhone' installed, you can track it when they are connected

The majority of the time thieves steal iPads, iPhones and such to sell them. They couldn't care less about your data.
