SoundCloud is an online audio distribution platform that enables its users to upload, record, promote and share their originally-created sounds. According to the latest data, the service attracts more than 175 million unique monthly listeners and content creators upload about 12 hours worth of audio every minute.
SoundCloud has now released a brand new iPad app that has been completely redesigned with a better experience for users uploading, sharing, and listening to music through the service.
All the SoundCloud features available on desktop are coming to iPad users, such as the ability to build a Collection, explore genres, edit and view profiles, create playlists, and share tracks and artists with other users. Here's how the official changelog sounds like:
Both iPhone and iPad apps have been updated with performance improvements for a smoother scrolling experience.
A drawback with the current version is that you won’t be able to add or view comments, track info, and follower/following lists. However, SoundCloud says these features will be returning in a later version.
