Shattered Screen in first 90 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello
Purchased an ipad 3 in early May. Last week drove away with it on the roof of the car--you can imagine what the screen looks like after the fall!! Turns on and can seem screen saver picture, but can't test more since tounch screen not working. Seems like it MIGHT work with a new screen, but can't be entirely sure Did not buy insurance. Any words of wisdom or suggestions out there? ???

All I can suggest is what we usually do. Make an appointment with Apple, tell them exactly what happened and see if they will give you a decent deal on repairs. After that kind of shock, I would expect more damage than just the screen, to be honest, so it would be worth letting them take a look.
