Required credit card number when creating new appleID

When I created my first AppleID, I did not have to enter a credit card number and pin. I don't have a credit card, seeing as I'm only 14, and the idea of using my parents' credit card is mortifying. Then my sister hacked me, changed my password, and immediately forgot it. When I went to recover it, the security questions were all wrong. So I deigned to create a new one. However, when I went to the app store, it said I had to review my payment information before I could download anything. Now it requires a credit card number. As I mentioned before, I don't have a credit card, and using my parents' is out of he question. Does anyone know what I should do?

Maybe the account could be set up with an iTunes Gift Card? You may have to call Apple and see what your options are.

This is a very good idea. Have you talked to your parents about this? Explained what has happened? Something to consider.

If you set up a new apple id on a computer (rather than on the actual iPad), I don't think you need to enter any credit card info.

Select None as the payment option.
