Hi All,

Really useful site, have been lurking and found a few answers so far to issues we've had knocking around our organisation so thanks for that.

Wondering if anyone can help with the last one.

The institution I work for has a large guest wireless network with a captive portal (Bluesocket) behind it. This portal is quite simple and not very restrictive, but does require users to enter an email address and accept some terms and conditions before they can proceed.

Most devices (including some iPad2's (model MC769B/A) connect fine with no problems at all. whereas others, specifically some iPad2 devices (Model
MC916B is one of them)
and some later model macbooks do not connect. They appear to connect to the wireless access point and receive a valid IP address, Default Gateway and DNS on the network, but when opening the browser they are not automatically redirected to the Bluesocket log in page. iOS versions are the same on each device.

Is there anything you guys know of that may be causing this, a revised chipset or something perhaps, or can suggest a workaround for this issue?

Thanks in advance

Phil
