These are my babies. The gray and white is Teddy-he was a rescue, the tan and white is Chi Chi, he is the runt from my aunt's dog's last litter. They are the best of friends. These are a couple of my fave photos of these guys. Chi Chi actually looks like he's smiling!

    Anaiis and Chloe and Sophie

    018.JPGSophieAnaiis.jpg

Chloe was a flame point Siamese rescue from the San Francisco Animal Shelter - she's passed on to the rainbow bridge after succumbing to renal failure. Anaiis (after the poet Anaiis Niin) is a dark eyed white ferret, also a rescue who currently has adrenal disease which is why she is naked (photo taken between lupron injections). Sophie, the darker ferret also died earlier this year. She had lymphosarcoma.

I'm down to only one ferret but I'm bound to rescue more!

Well it wasn't what I expected.
Archie didn't need the x-ray as cage rest should knit the fracture together. The bad news was that she thinks he has Cerebellar Hypoplesia which he would have been born with. His mum would have had this. This explains his clumsiness and then the eventual fall. (we think the dining table or even the kitchen door!). His brain can't control his movements. When I told her what he was like she instantly thought this. He won't get better, we will have to watch him and as long as he is happy, he should be alright(sort of). His incontinence could be the fracture so we need to watch him for a week and see if he uses the cat tray. He is allowed to walk but no climbing. I have a dog cage so will contain him in there if we aren't there.
Oh well as long as its not euthanasia I don't care. I got used to Cinders last year before she died.
So there you have it. We are not lucky in the pet dept. Cest La Vie!

I'm so sorry to hear this Hayles, poor Archie. Yes yet again you are unlucky in the pet department, but Archie is very lucky that he has you to love and look after him.
