I understood that the Pages upgrade (22 SEP 2010) would support footnotes and endnotes.

I have tried multiple .doc (Word Doc with endnotes) with endnotes in Pages. I still don't get endnote numbering or the endnote citations.

I opened the .doc in the iPad using box.net and as an email attachment.

Any suggestions? Does it really work?

I had the same question, found this link and it works! You do have to double tap on the icon cursor (place it where you want to put the footnote) to pull up small menu (the one that says "select/Select All/Paste) to the right you will see an arrow, tap on that to pull up the insert menu, tap insert and you will see the footnote option
