Offline maps on iPad 2

Hi
Almost every app on iPad for locating and show location,must to be connected to net!
This is very bad limitation,because on trip in some location there is no any connectivity to Internet.
I think the better solution is that the app keep track position of device in path only by gps and if it's possible,connects to net and gets map.
Is there any app that can download map for iOS so that apps use offline map?

Absolutely - there are dozens of apps that download the maps before the trip start. It basically depends, though, which country you're in. In the UK, there's UK Maps. For most countries there's Tom Tom. But there are several others, too, where the maps are free - you'll find Member's comments and reviews in the Forum, so take a look.
