Hi I just got my iPad and have been trying to view a number of articles that have video embedded in them. They will not work as it says that Apple does not support Adobe. Is there an alternative that I can use?

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Yes - you are right, Apple does not support Flash - period. But there are some third-party browsers that have a 'sort of' workaround. Look at iSwifter in the App Store. It gets around this restriction by hosting Flash content on the company's web server. There's a free 'lite' version that you can try-before-you-buy. It's restricted, but you should be able to see if it will do what you want.

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Apple - Support - Manuals

It’s free too.
