Goree Carter is "older" school. ;) "Rock Awhile" was released in 1949. It's plain to hear what influenced Chuck Berry.

Ok, a few bands that may or may not appeal....

    Blackfoot
    Scorpions
    Faster Pussycat
    Accept
    UFO
    Budgie

When my marbles return to my mind I might think of some more.

In my youth I used to go to at least two gigs every week and then I spent the rest of my time hanging around a specialist rock record store......now, check out Diamond Head, Witchfynde (they are pretty off the wall), Great White, Nazareth.
