Leaving games on iPad

Hi I recently brought my 5 year old grandson an IPad for his birthday and it's registered in my account with I Tunes
Now in April his mum is taking him to live in Cyprus and is what I would iike to know, is it possible to leave the games on his IPad but take the account off and would it work for him? Any help with this would be much appreciated

You can do this and leave the games there but they will not be able to update them at all without the account.
