Well, I just downloaded pages for my iPad and it is a great app but I can't seem to figure out how to create a document in landscape. Any possible workarounds?

Turns out that if you create a blank template in the OS X version of Pages and import it into the iOS version it retains the document's properties. A while back I made several of these. You can find and download them from here:

Remember to make a duplicate and use it instead of the original. I save these in a separate folder called Templates, just to remind myself. If you don't see what you want, request it. I'd be happy to make one and add it to the list. It only takes a few minutes.
Or if you have Pages on a Mac, you can do it yourself, of course.
