Hey all, went to pass this iPhone 5c to a family member. It used to get used daily by me and then spent some time sitting before getting set up as a new phone. Like a couple weeks. When we turned it on the screen had these issues. Any idea what could cause this? It's not in the outer screen itself but underneath. I expect their is no way to fix it?

This looks like LCD backlight bleeding, have seen it on my iPhone 5 and 5Cs. Screen replacement looks like the only option to resolve it

Unless you are really picky about the image, just leave as is. Aftermarket 5c replacement screens are notoriously easy to break.
