iPad 2 does not turn off when I close the cover.

iPad 2 does not turn off when I close the cover. I have replaced the glass on the iPad alongwith the power volume ribbon cable and wi fi antenna. After I put it back togetherthe iPad 2 does not turn off when I close the cover. Also takes more than 24hr to change the iPadto 100% and seams to discharge quickly.
