Welcome to the forum! There are a lot of great people here willing to lend a hand anytime. Often using the Advanced Search box (at the top of every page) will lead you to the answers you're looking for. If not, feel free to post a question in the appropriate area.

Please take a moment to view the information here to get the most out of your iPad as well as our forum:

Here are the directions for restoring your iPad as well as some information about Recovery Mode...

iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software

http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-help/2987-how-put-your-ipad-into-recovery-mode.html

If those directions aren't working, try posting exactly what you're doing, why you're doing it and what you're experiencing as a result and I'm sure folks here will be able to help you get things sorted out.

BTW, I moved your post to the iPad Help area where you’re likely to get a better response to your question.

Welcome again and enjoy!

Ok... The 3rd attempt to restore via iCloud was successful after the battery level got above 35%. It was at 23% previously.

Good info...thanks for that. Noted that the iPad should always have a healthy charge before attempting to upgrade, restore, etc.

Glad things are working again. Enjoy!
