I have GMail set up in an iPad1.

I would like to read messages already sent from there. How can I do that?

Also I would like to see messages stored there waiting to be sent. One time I wrote a message and wanted to send but the message wouldn't go probably due to poor Inernet connection in a free Wi-Fi area where I was. Later on I would like to remove it, to prevent it from sending as it was too late and I had already sent the message from another device in another place. However I could not find the Outbox which I would as with other email reader.

To look at your sent mail, tap the button that is in the upper left of your Mail app display until there is no button. Hopefully, this results in you being in the "Mailboxes" tab. At the bottom of this tab in a line titled "Accounts." Look in there for the specific e-mail account you want to view and press the line.

This will open a list of folders currently under that account, specifically. Your Sent mail folder will be in that list. You can then access the folder and view/delete e-mails as you wish.

Hope that helps.

P.S. To those wondering - I've deleted three posts in this thread because they were a post made in error and responses to that. Easier to just get rid of everything so as not to derail the thread...

Lets add to Marilyn's advice as I use Gmail.

It's best to work with Gmail in landscape as the mail folders will be visible in a scrollable pane to the left of your open message.

Messages waiting to go should be in the draft messages folder.

Cheers

Richard
