How to reset ipad 1

I have ipad 1 jailbroken and wanted to reset so i hit reset and now i am stuck on the black screen with the apple and can't even shut the ipad off. What do i do now?

Should be able to hold down the on/off button and home. Once you shut down (totally blank screen) you should be able to start up. It will come up with the apple logo but should then restart. Possibly you may get the USB icon so its waiting for you to hook up via USB to PC with iTunes installed. Hopefully tis works - if not its off the to the apple store with you.

Like previous poster said, hold the home button and power button until it restarts.

connect it to a computer with iTunes and perform a restore.
