first of all....i don't like the app store ui. :(

anyway. so i installed this awesome app called "clock". that's it, just clock. i wanted to install it on my wife's ipad but when i searched for "clock", well you can imagine. i got every search result BUT. there's like 700 search results after filtering "free", "utilities", "ratings"...i have no idea what the "kids' filter is for. can anyone suggest a way for me to get a better search result, or better yet a way to find this app?

btw description. the interface for setting an alarm is much like a calender layout with the whole day grided out like a calender, and when an alarm is set it gets posted much like an appointment. the icon is a simply square white clock, and the main face is a world clock - a row of 5 or 6 clocks at the top and a flat world map below showing a day/night graph...all in black and white. there is no color in this app.

thx

Hello - but just a silly question - is your iPad on iOS 7 and is 'Clock' a non-removable app? If so, that is the 'new' built-in clock app for this iOS - now if you wife & son's iPads have not been upgraded to iOS 7, then the explanation - good luck and please post back; may help others. Dave :)

Could you post a screen shot of the app? Or several - to show the different views?

That way, if someone has the app, they may recognize it easier. Pictures are often better than word descriptions...

Would you mind logging in to your account on your wife's iPad? You can find all the downloaded apps in the 'Purchased' tab.

the app is on MY ipad, and to be quite honest, i can't find anything on the current itunes. i'm thinking of installing an old version where all the pertinent tabs like xxx's ipad, apps, etc etc were on the left column and screen views were in the main viewing area.. i can't set or find anything on this new itunes program.

I believe the app you are describing and provided images for is the stock iPad clock app running IOS 6

The pictures you posted are the built in app in iOS 6. It should be somewhere on the iPad, that's one of the apps that can't be deleted.

To take screenshots, shortly press Home and Power button simultaneously. You should hear a shutter sound, when the iPad takes a picture, and the screenshot will be saved to Camera Roll.

Go back to the App Store on your own iPad. Find the app in the Purchases section. Tap to see the description. There should be a share icon (probably a box with an arrow coming out of it). Us this to email the app's link to your wife's iPad. Tap on the link there and it should take you to the App Store and that app on her iPad (after going through Safari).

I don't have iOS 6 to look at, which is why the description is kind of generic. I had to do it from memory.

Good luck.

Never mind. I should have finished reading the thread; but next time you'll know how to save a link to an app and share it.
