Unless you purchased the AppleCare + plan, which covers your iPad for up to 2 incidents of accidental damage, you are not covered by the warranty. The standard warranty does not cover accidental damage.

Hi Naveen and welcome to the Forum!

Have a look at these links for Jailbreaking, one is a tutorial and the other explains what Jailbreaking is

As Scifan has said normal warranty does not cover accidental damage.

Thanks for your help friends. I just wanted to know that if I jailbreak my iPad will it void my warranty? I came to know that if iPad has any problem(when jailbreak has done) and should show to apple care, then we can restore it to original firmware and we can get serviced which is under warranty. Is that true? :)

Yes that is true, you can just remove the jailbreak first if you should ever need to take it back to Apple.

Just a simple question leelai.Jailbreaking has been said to be legal in the states right? If that is true, then Apple can't complain if you return your device to them jailbroken?

While jailbreaking your device may be legal,it voids the Apple warranty. Before returning your iPad to Apple for warranty service you must remove the jailbreak.
Check Leelai's previous comment on this issue, which you quoted in your post.

It may be legal but Apple doesn't like it at all and it will void your warranty if you do jailbreak. Part of the small print I'd say just like many company warranties that are voided if modifications are made to a product.

If the iPad is under warranty and the cause of the malfunctioning home button is a manufacturers defect, it will be repaired at no cost to yourself. If you have the AppleCare + plan you are covered for up to 2 cases of accidental damage. Out of warranty repairs are performed by apple for a fee.
