What presets should I use when putting films onto my iPad 4 ? Are the 3 and 4's got the same screens

No conversions, just streaming my already encoded files (various formats) from my NAS. When away, put my viewing on a Wi-Drive for portability.

Don't you need wifi or 3G to be on to connect to your home storage

What do you need to connect the iPad to that and do the films need to be put into a other format

The Wi-Drive creates it's own wifi hotspot, so you just need to join that wifi network. The video files can be in any format so long as you have an app to play said format. I use GoodPlayer and OPlayerHD as my third party video apps.
