I have an iPad 4 on which I have a four digit security pass code. As I am going overseas soon and do not want to use roaming data I am testing find my ipad . Works well when I have my mobile data enabled. With mobile data off and wire fire on, the following occurs. If I have the power off, turn it on but don't put in my security pass code, I can only find my last location and not send sound or message etc. As soon as I put in the security code, the sound and message work. Is this how it should work? If so I can't see how find my ipad is very helpful if just using wire fire.
