I use the New Trent IMP 1000. They are a reliable company and have nice batteries at a good price.

Would you have any practical experience in regards to how fast it charges an iPad?

The battery pack charges the iPad battery. I don't think any device is capable of powering the iPad directly without utilizing the iPad battery as a interim aid.

This looks really cool. 70 hrs of movie time.

That is a bit of an exaggeration. The 70h relates to the iPhone movie time, for iPad 2 it adds 17h of movie time. Still impressive, a total of 27h of run-time, before one needs to find a wall socket for recharging.
