I have spoken with apple techs and
eBay techs. I have gotten follow up calls and email from
eBay. As far as I can say,
eBay is trying to get this shrinking trouble fixed.
I am a little concerned that this seems to have been going on for some time now. Since I am a new iPad user, it would be of help if it could be found out when this began happening? Upgrade to OS or upgrade to the safari browser? Any good accurate info will help. Best regards.
I too have put the debug switch on. It did not resolve the issue. I also prefer the safari browser over the ap. I like the ap and do use it for some purposes. Apple tech said
eBay would likely not concentrate on the mobile version of safari because of it. This would be the wrong approach. I believe
eBay is genuinely looking at why the mobile safari "lite" browser will frequently cycle the page size and go against the user input to scroll or resize with touch after it loads.
What I do notice on
eBay is if I refresh the screen it loads at one font size where as when I load a page to link somewhere the page always reduces one time. That is the screen does not just load and it reduces once to a smaller font but is still readable. When this keeps going the page "shakes" like 8-10 times reducing until the writing looks like a thread. This is the problem, once the first reduction doesn't stop, it goes through multiple times (8-10 reductions) until--- It is impossible to see the space between letters and the height of the text is as thick as a piece of thread.
