Dual Sync & Power Widget

Does anyone know if there is a widget out there that I can use to power my iPad whilst it is being sync'ed. I know there is supposed to be power to the iPad whilst syncing but I'm not always convinced. Also I prefer the wired sync rather than wireless - hence the question

The cord used to sync your iPad will provide power as well. A high power USB port on a newer computer shold provide enough power to run the ipad during the sync as well as charging the battery.
