The third instalment in the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation, is out now on iOS, for a fixed price of £6.99 or local equivalent, with no extra downloads or in-app purchases required.

The final chapter in the Erdrick Trilogy is one of the best-selling and highly acclaimed of the series, and enables fans to complete their mobile collection of the trilogy.

The game’s simple and intuitive controls have been redeveloped for touch-screen gameplay, with the movement button customisable for both one- and two-handed play.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation was created by three gaming legends—Yuji Horii, music composer Koichi Sugiyama, and master manga artist Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball fame.

Gameplay sees the player and up to three other characters embarking on an epic adventure across multiple continents and dungeons, levelling-up characters and earning new spells and abilities along the way, in time-honoured RPG tradition.

Several new features have been added to the mobile version of the game such as various mini-games, including medal collecting to unlock new items, as well as bonus dungeons and locations that can be explored once you’ve finished the main story.
