Copying webpage url

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but how do I copy a webpage URL and then share it on (for example) Facebook?

If you're actually on the webpage whose URL you want to copy, press and hold the URL in the box in the Safari menu bar. After a second you'll get pop up messages - choose 'Select All', then 'Copy'.

That URL is then in the iPad's clipboard and can be pasted into another app.
