Collapsing the Shortcut Bar

i have a Mimi 4 with the 9.2 version on iOS. When I turn it so the display is in landscape the shortcut bar on the left of the screen stays on the screen. How do I get rid of it? It cuts off the displayed image

If that's in Safari, tap the book icon at the top, left of the address/search bar. This will remove the bookmarks from the left side of the screen.
