Cannot register App Store without post code

Hi there, I am desperately trying to register my IPad 2 with the App Store to download a few free Apps. The application form does not accept the local, Sri Lankan post codes. How can I work around this? I tried entering my old, details from Europe, but it didn't work either... Thx
